Eric John Diaz

Eric John Diaz went to be with his Heavenly Father on August 1st, 2022. Eric was born to Henry and Naomi Diaz on March 3rd, 1966 in Long Beach, CA. He passed away in Lakewood, CA, after a short illness at the age of 56.
During his childhood and adolescent years, he was a resident of Lomita, Torrance and Hawthorne, CA. He loved playing baseball for the Toyota little league and his hobbies included building radio-controlled cars and airplanes. He attended Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, CA. where he enjoyed being in metal shop, wood shop, and joining the aeromodllers club. While in his youth, his family would travel to the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe and to visit family in Antioch and Pittsburg, CA.
During the 1990's Eric met the love of his life, Gina Marie and they married in August of 1996. They were married for 24 wonderful years until Gina's passing. During their marriage they loved traveling to Hawaii, New Orleans, Miami, Washington DC, New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Yellowstone and to visit his family in Northern California, Arizona, Colorado, and Gina's family in Texas and California.
For many years Eric worked in the aerospace and defense industry with companies including Boeing, Hughes, and Stellant.
While working he met and made a lot of friends. Eric is survived by his loving Mother, Naomi Diaz of Hawthorne, CA; Brother, Jimmy Diaz of Hawthorne, CA; many Uncles, Aunties, and Cousins.
Eric enjoyed listening to all types of music from Country, Disco, and Mariachis. He liked target shooting with his Dad, Brother, and friends, and most of all, he loved his LA Dodgers. He really enjoyed attending as many Dodgers games with family, friends, co-workers, and next-door neighbors.
Eric was a loyal husband, a loving son, brother, and a joyful friend you could count on for friendship and support.
Throughout the years, Eric attended church at First Baptist Church of Wilmington and walked with God until he was called home.
