Norma Linda Moreno, 64, was born on November 2, 1958, in Los Angeles, California, to Isabelle Moreno and Stella Alvarado. Norma entered into her eternal rest on October 13, 2023, in Whittier, California.

Norma was intelligent and hard-working. She dedicated 20 years while employed as a counselor in the medical field where she helped others.

Norma was an exceptionally warm and nurturing individual with a deep love for her family and her community. Her passion for the great outdoors shone through in her delight in taking her daughters camping, and creating treasured memories in the wilderness. Norma's fondness for bonfires at Bolsa Chica Beach reflected her enjoyment of beachside gatherings, where friends and family shared stories and laughter around the crackling flames.

Oldies music held a special place in her heart, serving as a soundtrack to her life. Norma was not only known for her love of candy but also for her role as the neighborhood mom. She offered her care and support to those around her, becoming the go-to person for comfort and advice, earning her the affectionate title of "everyone's mom."

Her love for decorating and hosting parties was another prominent aspect of her life. She embraced every holiday with enthusiasm, adorning her home with festive decorations that brought joy to her family and guests. Her Halloween parties were especially memorable, with her house transformed into a haunted mansion, creating a spooky and delightful atmosphere for all who attended.

Norma's festive spirit extended to Easter and the tradition of throwing lively Sopranos parties every Sunday. These gatherings featured an abundance of Italian food and décor, likely inspired by her appreciation for the popular television show. Norma's commitment to creating a welcoming and joyful environment for her loved ones made her a beloved figure in her community, a true hostess who brought people together to celebrate life's special moments.

Norma is survived by her loving family: Daughters, Linda Sabbagh, Kristy Ortiz, and Stacie Ortiz Francia, Step-daughter, Valerie Ortiz-Martinez, 8 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren, and her Siblings, Tony Torres, Daniel Moreno, Stella Mauricio, Celia Moreno Howard, and Yolanda Lira. Norma will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Norma was reunited at Heaven's Gate with her mother, Stella Moreno, father, Isabelle Moreno, and brother, Robert Torres.
