Patricia “Patti” Eileen Hunt Good, of Los Angeles, CA, passed away at the age of
73 on March 20, 2022, at Glendale Memorial Hospital from heart failure due to
complications of diabetes and COVID.
Patti Good was born on July 15, 1948, in LA to Matthew B. Hunt and Hannah
Holland Hunt. She attended Precious Blood Elementary School and Bishop Conaty
High School. On May 26, 1973, she married Robert W. Good and the two of them were
married for almost 49 years. Her vocation to sewing lasted her entire life. From the time
she learned to sew at the age of five, Patti sewed for fashion designers and family alike,
providing fashionable attire for formal occasions and several entire weddings. She
worked at Left Bank Fabric Company for fifteen years, both in Beverly Hills and Newport
Beach, managing a store for several of those years.
Patti truly lived a life of service to others and touched many people with her
kindness and generosity through the years. She was very active in the Precious Blood
Church Community, where she received all her Sacraments from Baptism to Holy
Matrimony. She helped with the children’s choir and parish fiestas. She made souffles
and Irish Soda Bread for church fundraiser breakfasts. The curtains she made for the
church rectory still hang. Patti loved her neighborhood of Angelino Heights, where her
father had worked as a firefighter at the local fire station and walked her around when
she was a child to show her the Victorian houses. When it came time to buy a house in
1980, she knew she would live there. Patti actively participated in the preservation and
beautification of Angelino Heights. She organized neighborhood clean-ups, renewing
stairways, and refurbishing two parks. She also helped give tours of her
neighborhood. Patti honored her Irish heritage and did extensive research on family
history. Last summer, she attended the Holland-O'Neill Family Reunion in Butte,
Montana and got to reacquaint with her many cousins.
Patti was an avid chef and baker, most known for her exquisite Thanksgiving
feasts. She loved traveling, especially to Paris, dining out with her husband Bob,
spending time with family and friends, knitting, and caring for her pets. Her love and
friendship will be cherished forever.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bob Good of Los Angeles and
numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Matthew
(1979) and Hannah Hunt (1988) , sister Mary Margaret Hunt (2002), brother Matthew
Hunt (2004), sister Catherine Ann Lucchese (2016), niece Nancy Marie Lucchese
(2019) and nephew Benedict J. Lucchese, Jr. (2020).
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 11:00 am at
Precious Blood Church, 435 S. Occidental Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90057. Her remains
will be interred on Monday, June 6th at 1:30 pm at Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills, 6300
Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068.
