Phillip Joseph Pace
January 2, 1935 — November 5, 2022
Phillip Joseph Pace, 87, was born in Painseville, Ohio to Salvator and Joanne (Profetta) Pace on January 2, 1935 and entered into eternal rest on November 4, 2022 in Whittier, California. Phil was their 3rd child and their eldest son. He moved to Los Angeles in 1950 and married his wife Phyllis (Bartelli) Pace in 1961. Together they had 3 children; Phillip Jr. 1961-1990, Jon 1963 and Gina 1969 and has two grandsons, Phillip Venti and Nino Venti.
Phil was a pillar of his community and in addition to running a successful real estate development/management company, he lived a life dedicated to public service and served as City Treasurer in Montebello for 12 years, the president of several service organizations including: The CA State Medical Board, The Metropolitan Water District, The Montebello Chamber of Commerce, The Rotary Club and the Italian Catholic Federation. He was a devout Catholic and supported St. Benedict's Catholic Church since moving here to Montebello in 1950. He was loved by many as expressed by the profound sense of loss that has echoed by friends family and those who knew him by his work and service to others. Rest in Peace Dear Soul. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
