Adeline P. Fontes, lovingly known as Lina, was born on September 18, 1922 in Los Angeles, California to Jose Perez and Helen Negrete and entered into eternal rest on August 3, 2020 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 97.
Lina was a hard worker, she raised her three sons while holding a full time position as a General Manager for a belt manufacturing company. One of her best memories was when she created a belt for Mae West. Lina was also a great cook; always making big meals for her family and happy to feed anyone who came to visit, and sending them home with a care package.
One of Lina's favorite past times was spending time with her siblings and attending family gatherings. She always made sure to attend every important event in their lives. Whenever someone was in need, Lina was ready to extend a loving hand to help.
After her retirement, Lina enjoyed being a full-time Mother and Grandmother. She loved to cook for her family, and watch them grow up and start their own families. She was proud of each one of her Children, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren. Lina's heart was full, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
She leaves behind her loving sons, Ignacio I Moriel and Michael "Mickey" Fontes. Adeline was blessed to be a loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many other family and friends who will love and miss her dearly.
Lina was met at Heaven's Gate by her loving son, Gilbert, her siblings, Joe, Eddie, and Carmen, and her soulmate of 60 years Henry, as well as many other family members who are there to welcome her home.
