Adriana Villalobos Girard
November 16, 1976 — August 20, 2020
Adriana “SPARKY” Villalobos-Girard, born November of 1976, daughter to Alfonso and Leonor Villalobos and raised in Bell Gardens, California. She passed away in August 20, 2020 at the age of 43. She is survived by her husband Van Girard, son JJ and stepchildren Antoine, Janelle, Britanie, Van Jr. and step grandkids Taylor, Ashton, Aryes, Ace, Max, Chase, Jordan, Nalani, and Kalea. By her mom and dad, siblings Juan, Margarita, Eduardo, Jose, Miguel, Leticia, Laura, and Leonor and all of her nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sparky attended Bell Gardens High School and graduated in 1995. She continued her education at California State University, Chico where she earned her degree in Liberal Studies and her teacher credentials from California State University of Dominguez Hills. She coached the girls’ basketball and boys’ volleyball teams at her alma mater, Bell Gardens High School.
Sparky’s joy in life was her son JJ and her dog Blue. She loved playing basketball and enjoyed running. She treasured coaching and guiding her students into becoming better players. But above all, watching Kobe play for the Lakers and her love for the court was her passion and in her blood. She was a Cali girl, but also enjoyed the outdoors and riding her horses with her family at their Colorado ranch.
