Augstin was born on May 28, 1915 in Mexico. He is survived by his loving wife, Victoria, five daughters Norma Guzman, Margarita Aguirre, Petra Barajas, Yolanda Gomez, and (deceased) Consuelo Martinez, one sister, Esperanza Guzman, Twelve Grandchildren, and Eight Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Risher Mortuary Chapel, on Sunday October 15, 2006 at 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Vigil will be on Sunday October 15, 2006 at 6:30 pm, at Risher Mortuary Chapel, Funeral Mass will he held on Monday October 16, 2004 at 9:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Parish, Pico Rivera, and interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Montebello will follow immediately.
