Alex Sandoval, 87, was born on April 22, 1924 in Los Angeles and passed away on January 13, 2012, in Whittier, Ca.

Alex loved his family, especially spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening, golfing and traveling on road trips. He was a very active member of St. Benedict Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus #3429. He supported his wife's involvement in the Beverly Hospital Guild. Alex served our country in the United States Army and was given an Honorable Discharge. He was a proud Veteran of WWII and was a very patriotic man.

A combination Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 7:00 pm at St. Benedict Church. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2012, 10:00 am at Resurrection Cemetery.

He is survived by his loving wife, JoAnne Sandoval of Whittier, his daughters and sons-in-law, Mary & Richard Sanders of Frisco, Tx. and Laura & Eddie Garcia of Lakewood, and his daughter-in-law, Kathy Sandoval of Frisco, Tx. He also leaves his grandchildren, Gabriel, Ally, Megan, Maddie & Adam and his brother, Bill Sandoval of Los Angeles and his sister, Tillie Bojorques of Monterey Park and many nieces and nephews. Alex is predeceased by his son, Martin Sandoval, his brothers, Rocky Sandoval, Ignacio Sandoval and Arthur Sandoval and his sister, Maria Louisa Sandoval.
