A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Alexandria Burciaga joined her family in heaven on Tuesday, November 16th. She was born in Los Angeles, California on November 19th, 1925 and raised by her mother, Juana. She lived a life of passion and travel with a fond appreciation for fashion and culture; known for her fabulous style and delicious cooking. She had a strong work ethic and even greater enthusiasm for life. She took great pride in raising her three wonderful daughters and maintaining a household rich in respect, love, and strength. As an active member of the community, she volunteered her time and efforts to Club Latino de Montebello, Montebello Gadabouts Senior Citizens Club and the Montebello VIP Senior Citizens Club. She believed family to be the most important part of life and instilled the value of unyielding determination and strength which extends to not only her children but her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well.

She is survived by daughter Susana Burciaga and grandchildren Carlos and Rachel Jackson, Jim and Michelle Jackson, John Jackson and great grandchildren Mae and Grant Jackson; daughter Sylvia and husband Dr. Daniel Duran and grandchildren Ernest Duran, Dr. Edward Duran, Dr. Jenny Pham Duran, and Lauren and Paul Najera with great grandchild Nathan Morikawa; daughter Donna Barreras and grandchildren Christina and Joe Gonzales, Monique Barreras, Bunnie Barreras and Bobbie D. Mosqueda and Dave Munoz with great grandchildren Nikki Denae Rivas, Miles Briones, Mia and Joseph Gonzales and Bobbie Dave Munoz; and siblings Irma, Berta, Antonio, Ramon, Federico, Herman and Porfirio Cabuto.

The family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all friends and family who have reached out during this difficult time. We are blessed to receive your thoughts and prayers and we take comfort in knowing our matriarch touched and inspired so many lives.
