Alfredo Martinez, 70, was born in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico on May 15, 1943 and passed away at his residence in Los Angeles surrounded by his loving family, on December 4, 2013. Alfredo was previously employed as a Plant Supervisor for 33 years at Paper Coating Co., in the paper finishing and coating industry. He served his country in the United States Army and was given an Honorable Discharge.

Nació en Fresnillo Zacatecas el 16 de Mayo de 1943. Era el mayor de seis hermanos. A la edad de 17 años vino a radicar a los E U. Sirvió en el Army por 2 años, estacionado en Viet Nam. Contrajo matrimonio el 20 de Diciembre de 1969, fue Padre de 4 hijos y una hija. Sus pasatiempos favoritos eran, andar con sus hijos jugando baseball, jugar con sus nietos y escuchar musica por largas hr, Trabajó por 38 años en Paper Coating, se retiró al cumplir sus 65 años, y durante 3 años disfrutó de su sueño dorado, regresar a su tierra y vivir tranquilo. Deja a su familia con un dolor inmenso. Pero con unos recuerdos que nunca se olvidarán. Sabemos que el seguira velando por nosotros y, que ya esta en la compania de Dios Nuestro Senor.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 6:00-9:00 pm in the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel and Reception Center, with a Vigil service at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 9:00 am at St. Benedict Church with interment following at Resurrection Cemetery.

He is predeceased by his sister, Anita Ibarra. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
