Alice Mah Miller 馬雅俐, passed away April 11th, 2022 surrounded by family when she was removed from life support following a severe stroke on April 6th, 2022.
Born 馬戎粧 in China, February 16th, 1944 (Lunar) / March 10th, 1944 (Solar), to Park Sam Mah 馬伯森 and Lai Ying Wong 黃麗影. Her family emigrated from Hong Kong to the US when she was 12. She grew up in New York city where she met and married Herbert Buck - Hing Ott 余伯顯. While raising her two sons, she furthered her education and received two Masters Degrees.
She was proud of her accomplishments, as very few students were selected for and even fewer completed the grueling schedule required in the double Masters program.
Her family then moved to California, where she became a lifetime credentialed teacher. For over 30 years she enjoyed educating children, and adults.
During Alice’s retirement years she and her second husband, Craig, enjoyed dancing and traveling all over the world. Her last trip was to Antarctica, the last continent she wanted to visit.
Alice has always given of herself and has been involved with several organizations over the years, including the following:

Alice is survived by her loving family: Husband Craig, together for 25 wonderful years.
Sons: Lawrence and Michael
Younger siblings: Chester, Shirley, Shing, and Richie
Alice will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her unique soul.
