Andrea Fernandez, 82, was born in Los Angeles on November 30, 1929 and passed away in Los Angeles on October 21, 2012. Andrea loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She also loved her cats and was an overall animal lover, taking in strays to give them a good, caring home. She cooked every day, fed anyone she could and ate last. She always put others before her. She told her family that WWII was the worst time of life but also the best time of life, because everyone pulled together to help each other.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 9:30am at St. Hilary Catholic Church. Burial will be held following the Mass at Oakdale Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Jack Fernandez and David Fernandez, both of Los Angeles and Steve Fernandez of Banning, and her daughter, Rosemary Fernandez of San Bernardino. She is preceded in death by her son, Robert Fernandez. She also leaves 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
