Andres A. Garcia, born January 6, 1923 entered into eternal rest on December 2, 2011 in Montebello, CA. Andres is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary of Rosemead, CA, 1 daughter Ramona Wicksell of Gig Harbor, Washington, 1 granddaughter, Andi Stolle, of Chicago, Illinois, 1 grandson, Randy Stolle of Gig Harbor, Washington, 4 great grandchildren, Conner (17), Megan (14) Sydney (12)and Summer (7). Andres is also survived by 1 sister, Romana Simmons of Alabama.
Andres loved to dance with his beloved wife Mary. He also had another love......Candy. Andres also loved to bet on the horses and taught his daughter how to use the "scratch sheet" for the horse races. He had a very special bond with his Granddaughter and so loved her. Andres taught his Grandson to be a "mans man" and also taught him to play golf. Uncle Andres was "bigger than life" to his nieces and nephews. He also loved to play golf.
Andres was a Navy war veteran and his Great-Great Grandfather was one of the first members of the Texas Rangers Group of 1800.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 10:00am at our Risher Montebello Chapel 1316 W. Whittier Blvd., Montebello, CA 90640. Services will conclude at the chapel.
