Anna Barbara Perfetti "Ann", 96, was born on December 4, 1923 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to Anthony Witcavage and Eva Asanavage. Anna entered into eternal rest on October 30, 2020 in Oceanside, California.
Ann was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, PA, to Lithuanian immigrant parents. As a young woman, she moved to Detroit, MI where she met and married her husband, Andy, in 1949. In the 1950's, they moved to CA and settled in South El Monte. There they raised three children.
Ann and Andy were founding members of Epiphany Catholic Church. Ann was an active volunteer at the church and school, working in the lunch room, helping at fiestas, involved with the Women's Club, and assisting wherever needed. She worked as a crossing guard for 25 years, protecting the youth of the community.
After Andy's passing in 1993, Ann became involved with the South El Monte Senior Center. Again, she became an invaluable volunteer and active member. She loved to help at bingo, serve meals, sing a song or two, and was always willing to help other seniors in need of assistance. She was even named South El Monte Senior of the Year.
As a testament to her over 60 years of service to her church and community, Ann was honored in July 2020 by the El Monte/South El Monte Chamber of Commerce as the South El Monte Citizen/Volunteer of the Year.
Ann is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Deborah Perfetti Felt (Rod) of Glendora, CA, her daughter, Sandra Perfetti Karl (John) of Carlsbad, CA, and her son, Mark Andrew Perfetti (Dhonni) of Green Valley Lake, CA, as well as her grandson, Matthew Felt (Mandi) of Aliso Viejo, CA, her grandson, Nicholas Felt (Natalia) of Washington, her grandson, Andrew Karl (Gordon) of San Pedro, CA, her granddaughter, Kirsten McEvenue (J.P.) of Carlsbad, CA, her grandson, Brandon Perfetti of Garden Grove, CA, her grandson, Andrew Perfetti of South El Monte, CA, and her granddaughter, Marissa Perfetti of Green Valley Lake, CA.
