Antonia Rivera, 93, was born on January 17, 1917 in Anaheim, California, and passed away on April 25, 2010 in Rosemead, California.
Antonia loved life and lived her's to the fulliest.She enjoyed being with her family and friends and was lovingly known as "Tia Pocha".. She loved to sing and make people laugh, if laughter was heard you always knew Antonia was near by. She will truly be missed by all who were lucky enough to have met her. "La Reina De Mara " will never be forgotten.
Antonia is survived by her loving daughters, Marta Steward of Alhambra, Elena Nieto of West Covina, Celia (Sally) Apodaca of El Monte, Ana (Annie) Maria Morales of Whittier, son, Joe(Tony) Rivera of Pico Rivera, brothers, Paul Caudillo of Los Angeles, Fermin Caudillo of Los Angeles, sisters, Victoria Alvarado of Los Angeles, Margaret Gonzalez of Fontana, thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Risher Mortuary Chapel in Montebello, California, with the vigil beginning at 5:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am on Monday, May 3, 2010, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Montebello, California, 90063, with interment following at Calvary Cemetery, in Los Angeles California, 90023.
