Pastora B. Hooker, 88, was born on September 29, 1921 in Leon, Nicaragua, and passed away on December 28, 2009 in Whittier, California.
Pastora is survived by her loving sons, James Hooker of Whittier, Jose Hooker of Whittier, Wilbur Hooker of Montebello, Kenneth Hooker of Oakland, Leslie Hooker of Anaheim, Lee Hooker of Montebello, Bruce Hooker of Italy, daughters, Guadalupe Barker of San Bernardino, Maybelle Hall of Denver, Colorado, Mildred Urbina of Pittsburg, Marjorie Hooker of Montebello, sister, Mercedes Narvias of Panama, twenty-one grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, January 1, 2009, at Risher Mortuary Chapel in Montebello, California, with the vigil beginning at 5:00 pm.
Funeral mass will be at 9:00 am on Saturday, January 2, 2009, at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4245 South Acacia Ave., Pico Rivera, California, with interment following at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California.
