An avid sportswoman who loved golf, water and snow skiing, Bobbie called Southern California home before retiring to Arizona with husband, Jim, in 1980. Despite the additional distance between Bobbie and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, however, she remained a very big part of their lives, and regularly traveled throughout Northern and Southern California and to various parts of the country to attend their high school and college baseball and soccer games, graduations, church retreats, and to welcome new babies to the family. Although she loved relaxing with a good book and an occasional glass of wine at her home in Arizona, the last few months of her life were spent fighting metastatic melanoma in Southern California, during which time she received dozens of letters and well-wishes from the close friends she had made during her life journey. All who loved her will truly miss her warm smile, her bright eyes, and sparkling sense of humor.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Melanoma Research Foundation,
