Benjamin Luna, 83, was born in El Monte, Ca. on July 5, 1928 and passed away in Los Angeles on February 27, 2012.

Benjamin served his country in the United States Army during the time of the occupation of Japan and was given an Honorable Discharge in 1947. He was a sheet metal worker for 40 years and most recently worked for the County of Los Angeles for 10 years.

More than anything, Benjamin enjoyed family gatherings and was not only close to his immediate family, but very close to his brothers and sisters. He was active in the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 108. He loved to go to Las Vegas and the Santa Anita Racetrack. He enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and especially loved anything chocolate.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rosa Aurora Luna of Los Angeles, his daughters, Jeanette Colburn-Heynen of Diamond Bar and Pauline Ryan of Apple Valley. He also leaves his step daughters, Maria Elena Martinez of El Sereno, Regina Rodriguez of New York and Sonia Erroa of El Salvador, and 6 grandchildren. Also surviving Benjamin are his brothers, Joseph Luna of El Sereno, Samuel Luna of Walnut, David Luna of El Sereno and Daniel Luna of Alhambra and his sister, Esther Dena of El Sereno and he is predeceased by his sister Sarah Hernandez. He leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
