Bertha Holguin
December 21, 1937 — May 10, 2014
Our Dear Bertha Holguin, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend and mother-in-law entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family in her home in Ontario, Ca. on May 10th 2014. Bertha was born in Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico on December 21, 1937, where she lived the first 18 years of her life. After turning 18, she moved to California where she resided in City Terrace and Walnut, CA for many years. Bertha was previously employed as a Real Estate Agent for 16 years, but her true lifelong passion was acting and theater.
We welcome everyone to join us in the following events to help us celebrate her life:
A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 5:00-9:00 pm at the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel located in Montebello, CA. The vigil will be at 7:00pm.
On Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10:00 am The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Lucy's Catholic Church in City Terrace, CA with the interment following at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello, CA.
Following the interment, her son Alberto Holguin will be hosting a "Celebration of Bertha's Life" at his home. Details will be handed out at the Mass.
Bertha is survived by her loving partner, Vicente Victoria, and her children Sylvia Holguin and Alberto Holguin. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Annette Morrow, Kyle Gonzalez, Miranda Mercado and Gabriela Gonzalez.
Bertha was greeted at Heaven's gate by her mother Encarnación Holguin, daughter Angelica Ramos, father Alberto Holguin, brother Luis Holguin and many other family and friends.
She will be missed and will hold a special place in the hearts of all of the lives that she touched.
