Bonnie Dean Hartley

Bonnie Dean Hartley was born on April 13, 1945 to Bonnie and Rufus Dooley in Chattanooga, Tennessee and entered into eternal rest on June 26, 2016 in Downey, California. She was 71 years old.

"My mom was a beautiful woman. There was never a time that she didn't have an encouraging word to say. She loved her family very much and would do anything for them. She also loved her many friends, especially from the Montebello Chamber of Commerce where she served on the board a few years ago. I once brought her with me to a business expo and watched while she hugged almost everyone that came by our booth. She was well loved by everyone there.
My mother succumbed to lung cancer on June 26th, 2016. She has gone home to be with her Eternal Father. We will miss her everyday of our lives until we can be in her arms again. My family wishes to thank all of our family and friends who took the time to pray with us and send us blessed thoughts. We would also like to thank Barbara for taking wonderful care of us at such a difficult time. Please leave any stories you may have about my mother on the obituary. We would love to hear them. May the Lord smile down upon you all and send his blessings into your hearts."
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband John E. Hartley of Pico Rivera, California and their two sons; Mark (Maria) Hartley of Long Beach, California and John Matthew (Maria) Hartley of Phoenix, Arizona. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren; Katy Hartley of Pico Rivera, Joshua Hartley of Phoenix, Nathan Hartley of Long Beach, Hailey Hartley of Long Beach, her great-grandson Christian Hartley of Pico Rivera as well as her sister Mildred (Phil) Tilley of Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews.
