Carl Michel Ferrante, 86, was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 26, 1925 and entered into eternal rest in Downey, Ca. on March 19, 2012.
Carl was previously employed as a Baker with Von's Grocery for 35 years. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during WWII, was given an Honorable Discharge and was proud to be a Veteran. He was a true family man and loved spending time with his entire family. He loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. Carl and his wife were extensive world travelers. It was special in his family that he decorated every family members wedding cake. He was a "Jack of all trades," and could fix anything.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 5-8:00pm in the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 10:00am in the Risher chapel with a reception immediately following in the Risher Reception Center. A Graveside service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery at 2:00pm on the same day.
Carl is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Ferrante of Pico Rivera, his son Michael (Lisa) Ferrante of West Covina, his daughter Debra (Jack) Gonzales of Hemet, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He also leaves his sister, Marian Radovich of Palm Desert and his brother, Tom Ferrante of Florida.
