Carlos C. Hernandez, 92, was born on April 21, 1921 in Mexico and passed away on March 4, 2014 in Los Angeles.
Mr. Hernandez was in the Commercial Construction business for over 25 years and was a veteran of the United States Navy, earning an Honorable Discharge for his years of bravely fighting for our freedom.
Carlos leaves behind his loving family: wife Estrella Hernandez, daughters Olga Martinez, Leonor Encinas and Monica Ruiz, and son Edmund Hernandez. He is also was a loving grandfather to his 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Carlos was greeted at heaven's gate by his loving son George who preceded him in death.
A Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 5:00-9:00 pm in the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel, with a Vigil service beginning at 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Church, 1316 S. Herbert Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90023, with interment following at Resurrection Cemetery.
