Carmen Diaz, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on April 13, 2025, at her home in La Puente, California. Born on June 19, 1927, in El Salvador, Carmen led a life full of warmth, love, and resilience.
She dedicated many years of her career to packaging in the food industry, where she showcased her strong work ethic and commitment to quality. Beyond her professional life, Carmen was a person of diverse interests and hobbies. She found joy in knitting, traveling, and engaging in word search puzzles, often demonstrating her spirited love for life. An enthusiastic lover of food, she especially cherished sharing meals that included her favorite dish—chicken wings.
Carmen's legacy lives on through her family. She is survived by her daughters Rosa Guerrero, Noemi Burgos, and Vilma Munoz, who hold dear the memories of their mother's nurturing and gentle spirit. Carmen's impact extends further with her grandchildren: Judy Deturris, Christina McDerman, Linda Burgos, Melissa Acosta, Robert Correa, and Kenneth Martinez each of whom carries a piece of her heart. Additionally, her great-grandchildren—Grant Deturris, Brooke Deturris, Andy Meachem, Joshua Martinez, Jordan Martinez Max Acosta, Michael Acosta, Lucy Correa, and Emi Correa—are reminders of her lasting influence and the love she poured into her family.
Carmen's visitation will be held on May 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Risher Mortuary & Cremation Service in Montebello, California. Following the visitation, a burial service will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Rosemead, California, commencing at 1:30 PM.
Carmen Diaz will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kind spirit and loving nature will remain in the hearts of her family and friends, inspiring them to cherish each moment as she did.
