Charles Bernard Ekman

Charles Bernard Ekman, known as "Bud" to family and friends, was born May 25, 1921 in Alexandria, Minnesota to Carl Ekman and Matilda Renner. Bud entered into eternal rest on September 6, 2019 at home with family by his side in Montebello, California.
Bud was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during World War II. An Electrical Engineer, Bud worked in the power generation field and retired in 1983. Bud spent his retirement enjoying golf, woodworking, and reading, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife Elcie and all of his family.
Bud leaves behind his loving family: Son, John Ekman (Ellen) of Cerritos, Daughter, Mary Ekman of Montebello, Son, Robert Ekman (Veronica) of Camarillo, Grandchildren, Steven Ekman and Celeste Ekman of Camarillo, but also leaves behind a large extended family and many friends who will greatly miss him.
Bud was met at Heaven's Gate by his loving wife of 66 years, Elcie,as well as his brothers: Donald, Richard, Robert, and Merlin.
