Charles Stahl, 85, was born on February 18, 1938, in California to Zacharias Stahl and Anna Hofer. Charles went to his heavenly home on August 26, 2023, in Los Alamitos, California.
Charles attended Biola College. While there, he sang in the Biola quartet and was the quartet director. Later he graduated with a music degree from Cal-State Long Beach. His passion was music, serving as Minister of Music/Choir Director at several churches in the area. He worked as a carpenter for 25 years at both the Long Beach Unified School District and then Southern California Edison.
For 22 years Charles sang with the Masters of Harmony where he won 6 international chorus championship metals. He was creative and inventive, loving to see how things worked and being the ultimate fixer upper. He was a master of jokes and the stories of his life and adventures are legendary. God truly blessed his life and he blessed the lives of everyone he met.
Charles is survived by his loving family: Wife, Cheryl Stahl of Los Alamitos, Children, Todd Russell Stahl (Nadine) of Tustin, Charla Michelle Irish (Kevin) of Cypress, and Gregory Charles Stahl (Stephanie) of Carpinteria, Grandchildren, Connor Irish and Paige Irish of Cypress, Charley Stahl and Dorian Stahl of Carpinteria, Siblings, Violet Payette of Stanton, Clifford Stahl (Bonnie), and Thomas Stahl (Judy) both of Visalia. Charles will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Predeceased by his brothers, Waldo Stahl, and Donald Stahl.
