Clifford D. Risher,84, was born in Humeston, Iowa on November 10, 1923 and passed away on July 17, 2008 following a brief illness. He resided in Lake Elsinore for 20 years. Mr. Risher was employed with the Los Angeles Police Dept. as an officer/Investigator for 30 years. He is a decorated U.S. Army WWII veteran, and was held as a P.O.W in Germany. He is a member of the American Legion Post 381 in L.A., the Elks Lodge #2591 in Lake Elsinore and a member of the National Rifle Assoc.
Clifford D. Risher is survived by his loving wife Therese Risher of Lake Elsinore, his daughters and son-in-laws, Sandy(Tom)Brannon of Mo., Tonia (Sonny) Herr of Corona, Tracy (Jeff) Jacobs of Reno, NV., Leslie Gray of Carson City, NV., and his step sons & daughters-in-law, Gary & Debbie Fournier of Rolling Hills, Larry & Debbie Fournier of Canyon Lake and his step daughter and son-in-law, Mary Kay and Rick Adelman of Portland, Oregon. His son, Clifford Risher Jr. predeceased him by one week and he also leaves a daughter-in-law Debbie Risher of OK. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and his brother, Raymond Risher of Montebello an many nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 11:00am at Risher Montebello Mortuary. Viewing will be Wednesday, July 23, 2008,5-9:00pm also at Risher Montebello Mortuary. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery 5835 Slauson Ave., Culver City, CA 90280
