Consuelo "Connie" Carmen Phillips, 96, was born on July 16, 1923 in Hurley, New Mexico to Jesus Maria Ponce and Frances Garcia and entered into eternal rest on July 29, 2019 in Montebello, California.

With hard working hands and dedication, Consuelo worked as a telephone operator for Pacific Bell Telephone of AT&T for over 34 years.

Consuelo was an active member of the Beverly Hospital Guild, Catholic Daughters-Court Guardian Angels Chapter, Montebello Women's Club, the American Legion Auxiliary Post 272, the Benedictine Oblates, she was the past-President of St. Benedict Altar Society and fed the homeless at St. Benedict, as well as a member of the AT&T Pioneers. Consuelo loved being a Cub Scout Den Mother in the 1950s and 1960s. And if this wasn't enough, she was active in various bowling leagues. She loved to travel and visited Europe, the Holy Land, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, and various locales in the continental U.S.

Consuelo leaves behind her loving family: Sons, Bruce Phillips and Lawrence Bramon. Grandchildren, Natalie Bramon Simonian, Jeffrey Luke Bramon, and Joshua Bramon. Great-grandchildren, Sarah Ivy Soto Simonian and Vahan Simonian. Siblings, Angie Garcia and Jesse Ponce. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Martie Phillips, and many other family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Consuelo was met at the gates of Heaven by her husband Oscar William "Bill" Phillips.
