Corazon Guico Sagmit

Corazon Guico Sagmit was born on September 11, 1937 in Cavite, Philippines to Jose Gucio and Rosario Cacalda. She entered into eternal rest on June 22, 2020 in Fountain Valley, California at the age of 82.
Corazon was compassionate and dedicated, working as a registered nurse in the health care industry for 44 years. She migrated from the Philippines in the early 1960’s to Passaic, New Jersey. There she met the love of her life Mauro Sagmit. She was a strong family leader and was always there to provide love and support to all her relatives anywhere in the world. Being a US Coast Guard family meant moving to many places over the years, she was able to build strong close relationships with all the people she interacted with and maintain communications up until the later time in her life, many consider her as a part of their extended family.
Corazon is survived by her loving children, Rodney Sagmit (and wife Marie Sagmit) of Buena Park, CA, Ronald Sagmit of Garden Grove, CA, and Jennifer Bayoneta (and husband Ben Bayoneta) of Garden Grove, as well as her grandchildren, Rodney Sagmit Jr., Ryan Sagmit, Matthew Sagmit, Bryce Bayoneta, and Brynn Bayoneta. Older sister, Adoracion Agas and younger brother Jose Guico Jr., Corazon will be greatly missed by her friends, family, and everyone who knew and loved her.
