Corrine G. Jojola, 91, was born on October 28, 1921 in Albequerque, N.M. and passed away on December 20, 2012 in La Mirada, CA. Corrine was an avid writer, penning many journals in her time and was a founding member of the Life Writing Class of Pico Rivera. She was known for her beautiful penmanship and her love for cooking and gardening. Corrine was very fashion conscious and was always beautifully dressed, favoring high heeled shoes on all occasions and visited the beauty shop weekly.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 12:00 pm at St. Hilary Catholic Church, 5466 South Citronell Ave., Pico Rivera, 90660. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Corrine is survived by her loving husband Harold Jojola of Pico Rivera, sons Gene (Chris) Olague of Parker, Az., Tim Olague of Chino Hills, CA, Michael Olague of Las Vegas, NV. She also leaves behind her step children Gloria (Sal) Gutierrez and Nancy Meister both of Los Angeles, Susan Jojola Negron of Bellflower, and Ron (Concha) Jojola of Upland, CA. She is also survived by her brother Elmer Garcia of Goodyear, AZ, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
