Dale Hedges Lostetter

Dale Hedges Lostetter was born to William Lostetter and May Smith on July 22,1946 in Cincinatti, Ohio and entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2015 at his home in Downey, California. He was 69 years old. Dale was a strong supporter of the military and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge.

After serving in the military, Dale returned to work for the Downey Unified School District starting at East (Doty) Middle School as a teacher. He then went to West (Stauffer) Middle School as a vice principal, to South (Sussman) Middle School, also as a vice principal, and to Downey High School as an Assistant Principal. He then became principal of Columbus High School and went on to return to South (Sussman) Middle School as principal. Dale finished his 32 year career at the district office as a Director. Though Dale loved his job as a Director, he always said he missed the everyday contact with the student's he loved.

Dale leaves his wife of 24 years, Debbie Lostetter, son, John Lostetter, daughter, Jamie Israel and son, Matthew Lostetter.
