David Martin Corp, 78, was born February 13, 1946, in Van Nuys, California to Clarence Elmer Corp and Emma Frances Roach. David graduated to Heaven on March 20, 2024, in Los Alamitos, California.
David proudly served in the United States Army in Viet Nam for two years and dedicated over 33 years of hard work while employed as a mockup builder in the Douglas/McDonald-Douglas/Boeing Aircraft Company in Long Beach, California.
David’s first love was his Lord Jesus Christ. He spent his life continually studying and learning about Jesus, and would always pray with anyone who needed intercession. He and his wife participated in many ministries together, their favorite being the marriage ministry. He enjoyed the friendships he made while serving.
David was a loving husband, who treated his wife with gentleness and love. They spent their marriage on many adventures and in many ministries. He also was a loving family man, who thought highly of his sons and their families; always eager to see them and share time with them. He was interested in the lives of our extended family, as well, and was always available to meet and share good times.
His favorite hobby was working with wood, which he did his entire life. Next was thinking up shenanigans with his best friend, Bob. They found ways to take their wives on adventures, one after another; life with him was an adventure.
David is survived by his loving family: Wife, Linda Suzanne Corp of Seal Beach; Sons, Jon Corp (Pam) of Clinton, Utah, and Christian Corp (Nicole) of Fort Collins, Colorado; Grandsons, Jonathan Collins (Shalie) of Bountiful, Utah, Devin Corp of Clinton, Utah, and Jared Corp (Anya) of Clarksville, Tennessee; Granddaughters, Briana Corp of Clinton, Utah and Cambria Corp of Chicago, Illinois; Brother, Jerry Parker of Canada; Brother-in-Law, Rodney R. Hite of Santa Clarita; and Nieces, Kathy Mitchell of Lakewood and Lori Wear of Lakewood. David was reunited at Heaven's Gate with his sister, Pam Mitchell. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dave’s services to celebrate his life will be on Saturday, April 20th at 11:00 am, at Calvary Cross Chapel, 16705 Gridley Rd, Cerritos, CA 90703. You are welcome to stay for fellowship afterwards.
