Delphine was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 5, 1924. As a young woman, she moved with her family to Los Angeles. She met and married Dean F Castle (deceased), in 1948.
She is survived by her daughters Bernadette and Charlene, her son Dwane (Claire), her 2 grandchildren, Melissa (Jay) and Joshua, as well as her 2 great grandchildren, Christian and Emma. She was predeceased by her son David.
Delphine loved God and was a devout Catholic. She was a member of St Benedict Church since the late 1940's. Delphine was a long time member of the Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters. She progressively lost her sight and was legally blind most of her adult life. Because of this, she took many classes, and volunteered, in the library at The Braille Institute in Los Angeles. She enjoying classes like woodworking and mosaic tiling. She learned how to knit at a young age and made beautiful afghans, sweaters, and made hundreds of caps that were donated to the Catholic Daughters. her other hobbies included gardening and her love of cooking, especially desserts.
We will all miss her terribly as she was loved greatly.
