Digna Vizcaino, age 85, was born on September 22, 1939, in Bejucal, La Habana, Cuba, to her devoted parents, Jose Miguel and Leovigilda Lemus. She entered eternal rest on January 29, 2025, in Downey, California.
Digna (born Digna Dinorah Emerita Lemus Blanco) immigrated to Los Angeles, CA from Cuba in 1969 alongside her husband and kids to give her family better opportunities. She displayed an unwavering commitment and dedication to her family and friends. She selflessly worked her way through the hardships of motherhood and she created a safe space of comfort and love for her grandkids where many memories and laughs were shared. Her beautiful smile and tremendous energy were infectious and will be greatly missed.
Digna is survived by her loving family, who continue to carry her legacy forward:
Children: Edmundo Vizcaino Jr, Belkys Flores, Jacqueline Vizcaino, Eduardo Vizcaino, Karen Vizcaino
Grandchildren: Hermis V Alvarenga, Breanne Flores, Jenise Alvarenga, Bryan Flores, K’Naan Gomez, Kelani Gomez
Son-in-Law: Rafael I Flores
Nephew: Alex Lemus
Digna has been reunited at Heaven's Gate with her beloved brother, Jose “Pepito” Lemus and parents. Their spirits are now together, watching over their family from above.
