Dodi Yitzhak Soza, 16, was born in Downey, California and passed away in Long Beach, California following a sudden incident. Dodi was born to Edgardo DeJesus Soza and Luz Myrian Castro Soza. Dodi was a student at Downey High School.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 4:00pm at St. Dominic Savio Church, 13400 Bellflower Bl., Bellflower, Ca. 90706.
"Dodi Soza isn't just my little brother,he is my best friend. Dodi has always had
a special place in my heart from the moment I saw him first the first time. I
looked down at him and he looked up to me and he just smiled. That was the
happiest day because I become a sister and I promised him I would protect him.
Dodi taught me how to be a big sister and a second mom to him. He is the type
of guy who does what he wants when he wants. Dodi has one of the biggest heart
that anyone can have. Dodi was many things, he was a son, a brother, a friend but
most of all my rock. I could tell him anything, he would protect me from anything
and everything. Despite how when we were kids we would fight without our parents
knowing but at the end of the day we knew we loved each other and grow closer as
brother and sister and as friends. As the days go on he will always be loved and
in my heart."
Dodi is survived by his parents, Edgardo and Luz Soza of Downey, his sister, Xhelsea Soza and brothers, Derek and Denzel Soza, all of Downey. He also leaves his grandparents, Carlos and Candida Soza of Bell Gardens and Jose del Carmen and Maria Edelmira Castro de Castro of Columbia and his aunts and uncles, Carlos (Angelica) Soza of Lake Elsinore, Maria Amilda Soza of Bell Gardens, Martha Cecilia (Humberto Guaqueta) Castro, Gladys (Alvaro Lancheros) Castro and Jose Wilson (Neyla Reina) Castro, all of Columbia and numerous cousins.
