Domitila "Tila" Almada, 75, was born in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico on January 17, 1939 and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 26, 2014 in her Pico Rivera home. . She was the daughter of Heleodoro Almada & Maria de Jesus Ledezma.
Miss Almada attended Agape Christian Center, in Pico Rivera. She was a woman of immense faith and dedication to the Lord. Her life was a testimony of her faith in God and how He makes you stronger to face any difficult situation you may be going through. She loved to write poetry that praised and exalted the Lord. Miss Almada was active in church activities and was host to a Home Bible Study every Tuesday until her declining health prevented her from attending. She also looked forward every summer to Vacation Bible School where she volunteered and enjoyed helping many children with crafts. Tia Tila, as her nieces and nephews called her enjoyed playing games. She was the best "Loteria" player of all time. She also enjoyed playing a game she made up called "Colores." Her nieces and nephews and other children were attracted to her joyful playful spirit though the years.
Domitila is survived by her siblings; Evangelina Pelaez of Chino, Octavio (Lydia) Almada of La Puente, Leo (Juanita) Almada of Downey, Manuela (Javier) Heras of San Diego, Elizabeth (Israel) Moreno of Chino and Noemi (Pedro) Munoz of Lancaster and is predeceased by her brother, Jesus Almada. She also leaves 24 nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Lilia Almada. She was loved by her family, friends and will be greatly missed.
