Donato Alvarez Navarro, 89, was born on October 22, 1924 in Jalisco, Mexico and has passed away on December 25, 2013 in Whittier, Ca.
Sr. Navarro was very dedicated to his Charity work for St. Vincent de Paul Center for over 5 years. Formerly of Mexico, he was a resident of South Gate for 7 years.
Donato leaves behind his loving children: son Jesus (Elia) Navarro, daughter Alicia (Oscar) Sandoval, daughter Celia (Jesus) Mitchell, son Daniel (Natalie) Navarro, daughter Adela Navarro Camarillo and son Jose (Rose) Navarro. He is also the beloved grandfather to 22 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren with two more great-grandchildren on the way.
Sr. Navarro was greeted at Heaven's gate by his adoring wife Maria Navarro Baltazar, along with daughter Guadalupe Ortiz and son Juan Navarro, who preceded him in death.
A Visitation Service will be held at the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 5:00-9:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel on on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 10:00 am, with interment following at Westminster Memorial Park, 14801 Beach Blvd., Westminster, Ca., 92683, (714) 893-2421.
