Dorothy Jean Lusk passed away peacefully at the young age of 91. She was born January 9, 1933 in Marshall, Texas to William Worrior and Mahala Smith. She was the youngest child of 13 brothers and sisters. She grew up on a farm where her chores were to milk cows. At the tender age of 9 her mother passed away and she was sent to live with her older sister Tommie Dell McCoy in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1947 and married in 1954. She was hired as a clerk at the Veterans Administration Federal building where she quickly moved up the ranks with several awards and promotions. She retired as a supervisor of her own team in 1995. Dorothy was a member of Jarvis Senior Club where she traveled the world with her sister Tommie. She visited China, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Jamaica just to name a few.

She is survived by her son, William Lusk Sr. and Glenn Brisco, her grandchildren, Kiara Lusk and Kaleb Lusk and her daughter-in-law Evelyn Lusk and many nieces and nephews.

Those who proceeded her in death are her parents William and Mahala. Her siblings: Tommie McCoy, Carnetta Buchanan, Beatrice Irving, Elmer Mithcell, George Worrior, William Worrior Jr. James Worrior and Herman Worrior.
