Duane "Fred" Dupuy, 65, was born on July 1, 1958, in Montebello, California to Louis Dupuy and Margaret Hibbs. Fred entered into his eternal rest on December 15, 2023, in Montebello, California.
Fred dedicated 30 years to a successful fire protection career, showcasing intelligence and a strong work ethic. His role involved ensuring the safety of people and property. Before having a stroke in 2012 he owned his own company Fire Protection Solutions (FPS) and held his C-16 Contractors License to perform all fire prevention work. He was an expert in his field and loved the work that he did. After his stroke, Fred dedicated his life to giving back to his community. He became a Peer Mentor for Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation Center; a role he valued deeply and enjoyed sharing with others. This was the same place where he did all his physical therapy after his stroke and a place he cherished deeply and wanted to give back to.
Fred is survived by his loving family: Wife, Xiaolin, Son, Daniel Dupuy, Step-son, Wang Xi, and Granddaughter, Eliana Dupuy. Fred will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
