Edgar is survived by his loving wife, Genevieve Cervantes of Montebello, California, daughters, Antoinette Dodge of Ventura, California, Ann Marie Ritchie of Oregon, sons, John Cervantes of Montebello, California, Joseph Cervantes of Montebello, California, sisters, Rae Enriquez of Squaw Valley, California, Rebecca Ferralez of Whittier, California, brothers, Andy Salcedo of Riverside, California, Steve Salcedo of Montclair, California and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Risher Mortuary Chapel in Montebello, California, with the vigil beginning at 7:00 pm.
Funeral mass will be at 9:00 am on Thursday, December 11, 2008, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Montebello, California, with interment following at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello, California.
Flowers may be delivered to Risher Montebello Mortuary, on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, before 4:00 pm.
