Elfie Marie Pangburn was born on November 4, 1920 in Moose Lake, Minnesota to Charles Anderson and Minnie Olson. She entered into eternal rest on June 19, 2019 in La Palma, California at the age of 98.
Elfie was hard working and compassionate, working as a cafeteria worker for the Los Angeles United School District for 40 years.
Elfie is survived by her loving daughters, Wendy Tomaro of Campbell, CA, and Judy Clark of San Jose, CA, and her grandchildren, Aaron Tomaro (Susan) of Sunnyville, CA, her beloved grandson Jason Gusman of La Palma, CA, Eric Clark of Austin, TX, and Lisa Saindon of Vancouver, WA. She leaves behind her great grandchildren, Gia Tomaro of Sunnyvale, CA, Laurel Gusman of Jacksonville, FL, Adam Gusman of Jacksonville, FL, Ashley Saindon of Corvalis, OR, Jenessa Clark of Austin, TX, and Devon Clark of Austin, TX, as well as her brothers, Lyle Anderson and Dennis Anderson of Minnesota, and numerous nieces and nephews. Elfie will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Elfie will be laid to rest with her husband, James Owen Pangburn in Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (
