Elita Magnolia Noriega was born to Wenceslao Noriega and Luzdina Sanchez on August 2, 1948 in Pachitea, Peru and entered into eternal rest on September 30, 2015 at her residence in Bell Gardens, California, following a long battle with cancer. She was 67 years old.
When Elita turned 18 she went to study in the Instituto Biblico in Huanuco, Peru, where she met her husband Amos Duran, and they started serving God through a Christian Ministry there. They served as a Pastors for the Iglesia Alianza Cristina y Misionera in different cities in Peru. They had a Ministry for 25 plus years. They had 7 children all together, the youngest baby girl died three days after she was born.
In 1993 Elita moved to the United States and made her home in Downey CA, where she never stopped preaching the gospel to anyone who crossed her path. She touched so many lives and she will be missed. She was beloved, hard-working, a caring and giving person. She was immensely comforted by the unwavering assurance that God was ultimately in complete control of everything and that He held her hand as she journeyed through the valley of the shadow of death.
Elita is survived by her 6 children; daughter Damaris Duran Noriega of Bell Gardens CA, son Eliecer Duran of Bell Gardens CA, son Lemuel (Joanna) Duran of Houston TX, son Ruben (Karen) Duran of Downey CA, son Benjamin (Miriam) Duran of Downey CA, and son Jaime (Julissa) Duran of Downey CA. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren as well as her 3 sisters; Luzmila Noriega of Peru, Lita Watson of Las Vegas and Dina Noriega of Peru.
