Elizabeth G. Yescas was born in Jerome, Arizona on April 23, 1910 and passed away on April 30, 2012 in Montebello, California.
Elizabeth lived most of her life in California where she married Peter Yescas in 1927, had one child Robert Yescas. She had a passion for cooking, sewing, gardening and loved all animals. She lived alone until she was a 100 years old.
Elizabeth leaves behind three loving grandchildren, Raymond Yescas, Roberta Yescas-Soule, Robin Yescas, by her three loving grandchildren; her daughter-in-law Eleanor Yescas and two nephews Jay and Steve Otero of Las Vegas, Nevada.
One of her greatest pleasures was sitting in her backyard in full bloom with family and friends, telling stories and sharing a century worth of knowledge.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 4-8:00pm in the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel. The Funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 11:00am at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church 820 N. Garfield Ave.,Montebello, CA 90640. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
