Elsa Leticia Castellanos, 50, was born in Los Angeles, CA on August 28, 1963 and passed away suddenly in Monterey Park, CA on June 20, 2014. She was born to Miguel Hernandez and Emma Teresa Hernandez. Spending most of her life in Los Angeles, she grew up with two brothers and one sister. Elsa graduated from Woodrow Wilson high school and shortly after that she married her husband of 24 years, Raul Castellanos. She gave birth to her four surviving children Reyna, Raul Jr., Iliana, and Raquel followed by her four amazing grandchildren, whom she grew to love dearly, Marysol, Irene, Gwen, and Jacob.
Elsa loved life to the fullest and was always out seeking a new adventure to conquer whether it was camping, hiking, swimming,or fishing. One of her favorites was taking an evening stroll after dinner to see the sun setting with one of her children. More than anything she always put her family first, so that they may forever know she was always there regardless the favors asked for. She loved being outdoors always as long as she was surrounded by loved ones that was all she needed to make it a perfect day. Her favorite music she never went without on road trips was classic rock and even her kids grew to love it sometimes.
Elsa was an amazing woman with the most generous heart anyone could ever have. She will be greatly missed by her loved, but never forgotten, for her smile will never become a distant memory as you leaves an imprint in their hearts. Every time her children look up into the skies, they will know it is their mother's smile shining down on them with the suns rays breaking through the clouds. She will be loved for an eternity but never forgotten by those closest to her heart. May she rest in peace always.
