Esmeralda Cervantes Polanco was born to Bolivar and Aura (Polanco) Cervantes on January 18, 1921 in Ecuador and entered into eternal rest on November 19, 2016 in Downey, California. She was 95 years old. Esmeralda worked as a seamstress for over 23 years.
Esmeralda is survived by her 5 children; daughter Jeannette (Gustavo) Lopez of Santa Fe Springs, California, son Patricio Galvez of Quito, Ecuador, daughter Liliana (Pablo) de Almaeida of Quito Ecuador, son Galo (Deverine) Galvez of Hemet, California and son David (Julia) Galvez Sr. as well as 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her 5 siblings; Irma Cervantes of Esmeralda, Ecuador, Yola Cervantes of Atlanta, Georgia, Dina Cervantes of Esmeralda, Ecuador. Elsa Cervantes of Quito, Ecuador and Marcos Cervantes of Quito, Ecuador along with numerous nieces and nephews.
