Esperanza Torres

Esperanza Torres, 81, was born in Delano, Ca. on February 20, 1931 and passed away in Los Angeles on March 7, 2012.
Esperanza was a devout Catholic and very involved in St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She was a joyful and caring person and always had a smile on her face. She was very caring toward the homeless. Esperanza loved when her children and grandchildren would visit her and loved having coffee with her lady friends. She was very passionate about her gardening, enjoyed reading,listening to her Christian songs, and she loved to take walks and enjoy the beauty around her.
A Visitation service will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 1901 S. San Gabriel Bl., San Gabriel, from 5-9:00pm on Monday, March 12, 2012 with the Vigil service at 7:000pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 10:00 am also at the church. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale.
She is survived by her daughters, Reyna Cineceros of Los Angeles, and Guadalupe DeLuna of La Puente, her son, Ramon Torres of Covina, her daughter, Sandra Vargas of Norwalk, her son Jesse Torres of Los Angeles, her daughters, Rosie Torres, Hope Torres and Patricia Villareal, all of Los Angeles, 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters, Ofelia Cedeno of Anaheim, Carmen Velasquez and Carro Cedeno, both of Mexico and many nieces and nephews.
