Eugene was a veteran of the United States Navy, earning an Honorable Discharge and receiving an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for operations during Vietnam. He was an electrician for several years.
Eugene is survived by his sons Eugene Sovinsky and Daniel Sovinsky and Step-Daughter Pamela Primzen and Step-Son Frank Primzen.
