Eva Mota Quinonez

April 5, 1926 — July 27, 2020

Eva Mota Quinonez Profile Photo
Eva Mota Quinonez was born in Durango, Mexico on April 5, 1926 to Nemesio Mota and Josefa Carbajal and entered into eternal rest on July 25, 2020 in San Gabriel, California at the age of 94.

Eva was a loving and generous mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and Godmother to a large and unified family. We were fortunate that she lived for an amazing 94 years. She was the ultimate caretaker, hostess, and listener. She rarely judged any of her family members or friends, rather, she opened her home to all, without condition.

We will miss her. She is now with her husband, Jose Quinonez, her parents, 4 of her sisters, her brother, and one of her grandsons, as well as many other family members and good friends.

She is survived by her sisters, Melisia, Josefina, Bertha and Irma, her daughter Rosie and sons, Joseph, Jesus, Richard and David, grand kids and great-grand kids, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved and admired her.

Due to COVID restrictions, there will be a private mass.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in her honor to:

The Pastoral Care Ministry at Holy Family Church in South Pasadena, CA, or

Plaza de La Raza in Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles, CA, or

Cathedral High School, Los Angeles, CA
