Mr. Fernando Jose Nunez, 71, was born on January 3, 1942 in Mexico, and has passed away on December 16, 2013 in Alhambra, Ca.

Fernando was a Contractor for over 30 years in the Building Construction business. Formerly of East Los Angeles, he lived in Monterey Park for over 40 years. Mr. Nunez bravely served in the United States Army, where he received a Good Conduct Medal, as well as an Honorable Discharge for his fight for our freedom.

Fernando leaves behind his loving family: wife Sally Nunez, son Fernando (Alicia) Nunez, daughter Lori (Jay) Simpson, four grandchildren, a brother, Victor Nunez, and a sister Maria Eugenia Angelo.

A Visitation is will be held at on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel, with a Prayer Vigil beginning at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Stephans Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
