Frances S. Castillo, 85, was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 19, 1928 and passed away at her residence in Montebello on September 3, 2013. Frances had lived in Montebello for 58 years and on September 10, 2013 would have been married to her loving husband, Vincent Castillo for 63 years. She graduated from Garfield High School, was involved in PTA and the St. Benedict's Altar Society. Frances loved to travel and watch movies before she lost her vision. Her favorite comedian was Red Skelton, her favorite song was "It Had To Be You," her favorite artist was Frank Sinatra, her favorite actor was Paul Newman and actress was Elizabeth Taylor. She was a devoted wife, mother of 3 and grandmother of 6.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 6-9:00 pm in the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel, with a Vigil at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 8:45 am at St. Benedict Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Frances is survived by her loving husband, Vincent L. Castillo of Montebello, her daughter, Jeri Castillo of Chino Hills and her sons, Vincent C. (Esther) Castillo of West Covina and Philip (Emelia) Castillo of Yorba Linda. She also leaves 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and her brother, Albert Saracino of Golden Valley, AZ.
