Garland Willoughby Manning

Garland W. Manning, 95, was born in Rusk, Texas on April 1, 1915 and passed away in Rancho Cucamonga on December 3, 2010. Gardland was a Supervisor for Owens Illinois Glass Co. for 48 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1945-1946.
Garland is survived by his loving children, Ethel (John) Martin of Rancho Cucamonga, Thelma (Terry) Peterson of Cambria, granddaughters, Jana Benett of Hemet, Jonda Martin of Crestline and Paige Fuenmayor of Downey, grandson Brian Peterson of Placerville and sister Bernadine Terry of Surprise, Arizona. He also leaves seven great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
Garland loved to spend his time golfing and fishing. He was a volunteer at the Downey Community Hospital and the Del Webb Hospital in Surprise, Arizona where he resided prior to moving to Rancho Cucamonga.
Gravside service will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Rose Hills Memorial Park 3888 Workman Mill Rd.,Whittier, CA 90601 thru gate 1.
